Trying to get Time warner cable cheaper.. Direct tv.?
So about 2 years ago I had direct Tv and liked it just fine, then time warner cable sent me a special thing that direct tv people could have a set rate for 1 yeah since they were giving up direct tv.
My question is this.. My bill is about 160 a month (with road runner included-I work from home) and I’ve just gotten a thing
from direct tv offering me a really good deal to come back to them.. I really like road runner but do you think If I call time warner cable and act like Im thinking about swapping to Direct tv that they might give me some sort of lower rate?

I doubt it. A lot of people have the same issue as you where they have been with one provider a while. I’ve been a DTV subscriber for years and would LOVE to take advantage of the deals they’re offering new subscribers. This has been asked a lot and I have never heard anyone say that their provider, regardless of who is it, gave them the same deal as a new subscriber.
And for the record the guy above me is nuts. DirectTV has a MUCH better picture and also has 90+ HD channels which is way more channels than anyone else.
I’d just go with DirectTV and take advantage of their offers and I believe you have 2 or 3 internet providers you can pick from such as AT&T, Earthlink, etc.
