Direct TV says it can not upgrade my service to HD?

Direct TV says it can not turn my service, because the new antenna should bounce 5 different satellites and large trees in my backyard.Definitely not a big tree or a star-lined street in the country just a normal ear neighborhood.Anyone talk about it or was it a special facilities being lazy?
